In the treatment of severe Necator americanus and Ancylostoma duodenale infections, it is given as a single dose of 1 mg/kg per day for 3 days.
In oxyyuriasis (pinworm infection), family treatment is recommended to definitively eliminate the parasite. A second dose should be administered 2-3 weeks after the first dose to prevent autoreinfestation (re-infecting the patient with the disease).
