Tansy (Tanacetum Vulgare) is a perennial soddy plant 50-150 cm high. The rhizome is long, woody, creeping, branching. Stems are numerous, straight, branched in the upper part, slightly pubescent or glabrous. Leaves are alternate, oblong-ovate, dark green on the upper side. Flowers are small, bisexual, regular, yellow, tubular, collected in baskets. The fruit is an oblong pentahedral achene with a short, finely serrated margin. Blooming time is in July - September. The fruits ripen in August – September.
