It has a broad spectrum of nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids (EFAs), phytosterols, and policosanols. Among its most notable naturally occurring bioactive nutrients are Vitamin E, the omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and dietary waxes, such as octacosanol.
