Inclusion of Metafolin®† L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (L-5-MTHF), a bioactive form of folate, ensures more immediate effects than folic acid on metabolism. As the only form of folate that crosses the blood-brain barrier, L-5-MTHF is especially useful for supporting neurological system requirements for this nutrient.* Activated vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin enhances B12 absorption and bioavailability. Extra amounts of biotin to augment its role for nervous system function are added to this yeast-free formula.*
