First step: Clean the wound area, ensure the peri-wound skin is dry. Second step: Select a size of alginate dressing enough to overlap the wound edges by at least 1.5 cm. Third step: Gently apply the flat dressing on the wound site, fix the dressing by transparent film dressing or bandage.
